"Our grade is the perfect example of how students are truly the essence of the UWCSEA movement.
Sitting in this room, we have an array of writers, scientists, dancers, musicians, and mathematicians, all eager to leave their mark on the world.
Being students at UWCSEA, we have come to learn the true power of education - understanding that our actions can have an overwhelmingly great impact on the lives of the people around us.
UWCSEAs dedication to service and the uplifting of others has allowed us all to recognize our greater purpose and responsibility; caring for others, valuing different perspectives, and understanding the impact of our actions.
To be a class of 2024 graduate means more than a set of virtues, it is the culmination of experiences from UN night to leavers week, the relationships built between students, staff, and our wider community.
While you are selfless, driven to change, responsible, and all manner of great things; it is not one of these individual qualities that make our graduating class what it is, but the unity of the experiences we have had.
While some may look in this room and see 340 graduating students, we see thousands of memories.
Class of 2024, we know just who you are and what you can do. You will undoubtedly go on and do great things.
But in the midst of your pursuit of greatness, do not forget the value in friendship, in family.
These things mean more than just being a Class of 2024 graduate, they make us human.
Let us go forth with courage, compassion, and conviction, knowing that together, we can truly make a difference."
