Dance Evening
2025
A Celebration of Creativity and Connection

Dance Evening 2025 was a celebration of student leadership, creativity and community through the art of dance. Featuring original student choreography across a range of styles — hip-hop, jazz, contemporary, waacking, and musical theatre. The event showcased the diverse talents and stories of our High School dance community.
This year, Dance Evening also highlighted the importance of giving back. The event raised over $854 for the Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation, which supports children in crisis by providing shelter, education and employment pathways. Our community’s generosity will help create opportunities for others, a reflection of the College’s commitment to building a more sustainable and peaceful future.

A New Generation Takes the Stage
Dance Evening 2025 also welcomed the return of the Middle School Dance Club to the programme, led and choreographed by Grade 9 students as part of the Dancers in Action course. Their high-energy hip-hop performance brought fresh excitement to the stage, reconnecting younger students with the broader dance community.
Throughout the evening, student choreographers brought personal narratives to life, exploring identity, resilience, friendship and change through powerful and original movement.
Honouring Our Graduating Dancers
One of the most moving moments of the evening came as we celebrated our graduating seniors.
Students performed together for the last time, sharing heartfelt tributes and celebrating the impact of leadership, mentorship and friendship built over the years within the dance community.
Building a Lifelong Passion
Students interested in becoming part of future Dance Evenings can:
- Join the Dancers in Action course (Grades 9 and 10)
- Pursue IB Dance at Standard or Higher Level (Grades 11 and 12)
These opportunities nurture not only technical skills but also creativity, leadership and a deep sense of belonging — key values of the UWCSEA educational experience.
