GC Rides, Games and Activities
This was truly the heart of the festival, where the campus came alive with the excitement of the rides and student-led activities. Families loved the Trackless Train, Wipeout arena, and the Dunk Tank, while the Under the Sea Bouncy Castle remained a favourite. Beyond the rides, our community spirit shone through a range of GC games and activities, from K1–Grade 5 classics like Bowling to High School challenges like Axe Throwing and the Hair Salon. Whether testing skills at the Ball Shootout or getting creative with Henna, every activity supported our NGO partners. Plus, it was great to know that 100% of the proceeds from festival wristbands went directly towards vital education, healthcare, and environmental projects across the globe.
PA Food Festival
The PA Food Festival was a vibrant celebration of the diverse cultures within our UWCSEA East community. Parents and volunteers hosted stalls representing a wide range of nationalities, including Australia and New Zealand, Turkiye, China, and Ireland, each offering signature dishes and much-loved home-style favourites. It was a wonderful opportunity to enjoy global flavours in one place, with families also showcasing tastes from India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, and North America. This showcase was more colourful and delicious than ever, with many bringing their own reusable containers and cutlery to support our environmental efforts. It was truly a fantastic way to appreciate the rich cultural heritage that makes our school so special!
PA Bazaar and PACE Book Fair
The PA Bazaar was a lively hub featuring a fantastic variety of home-based entrepreneurs and small businesses. Families explored stalls filled with handmade jewellery, artisanal treats, and mango-wood décor, alongside student-run initiatives and sustainable travel accessories. It was a wonderful space to discover unique gifts while supporting the creative talents within our own community.
The annual PACE Book Fair also saw a great turnout, offering pre-loved fiction, picture books, and biographies a second life. All funds raised went directly towards Local Service programmes and PACE’s partner, CSB (Cahaya Surya Bakti). These contributions support education and nutrition for marginalised children in Singapore and Malaysia, showing how a shared love for reading can drive real change.
Run for Rights and Sports Activities
The festival kicked off with the Run for Rights, where every ticket sold supported Daraja Academy in Kenya and the JAAGO Foundation in Bangladesh, helping provide vital education for marginalised children. On the field, participants tested their endurance in the Distance Challenge and took part in classic races like the Egg and Spoon, Sack, and Wheelbarrow relays. The energy continued indoors in the Sports Hall with free play sessions of badminton, basketball, and volleyball. Whether it was a friendly match on the court or the fun of the 3 legged Rights Relay, there was a fantastic atmosphere of team spirit across the campus.
Environmental Initiatives
Our community-led initiatives demonstrated how sustainability can be both practical and creative. In the Plaza, the Middle School CycleReCycle team brought people together by teaching functional bicycle maintenance skills at their pop-up repair cart. Nearby, volunteers from the Middle School Used Uniform Squad promoted a circular economy by selling high-quality pre-loved items, saving hundreds of garments from incineration. The Middle School Urban Gardeners provided a hands-on bridge to nature, teaching families to fold banana leaves into low-impact plates and bowls. Finally, the Middle School Artists' Collaborative showcased incredible Zero-Waste Art, featuring everything from upcycled paper desk organisers to "artivism" pieces created entirely from repurposed campus waste.
Stage Performances
The stage was a constant source of energy throughout the day, beginning with a warm welcome from Nidhi Raj, Chair of PA, and an official opening by Cathy Jones, Head of UWCSEA East. The programme launched with a vibrant Flag Parade, followed by a diverse lineup of musical talent. From Junior School sets and various Middle School Rock Bands to a traditional Chinese Orchestra and a parent-led Choir, the performances truly reflected our community's cultural depth. The schedule featured a fantastic variety of bands, instrumental ensembles, and singing performances, which kept the audience cheering throughout the afternoon. A highlight of the festivities was a Bollywood performance, before student DJs closed the day on a high note.
A huge thank you to the UWCSEA East Parents' Association team, Service team, Activities team, and Music teams for yet another fun year of Family Festival.
We're also grateful to the dedicated student volunteers, parent volunteers, staff, and everyone who played a part in making it happen—and to our community for all your support! It was a day to remember, bringing together both new and current families to celebrate our vibrant community, enjoy incredible performances, take part in fun games and activities, and experience the diverse cultures that make UWCSEA so special.
